What's new in Tines: September 2026 edition

Written by Alex Puzzolo

A theme throughout our September updates is data. Build with data, use data to inform AI-assisted case work, and make data easier to read and share.

Get the data you need in fewer steps

Search record data needed for your stories with fewer requests using our new, v2 Records API. Spend less time parsing separate responses and request related cases and child record data in a single call. Record searches with this API also run twice as fast.

Bring context into your AI-assisted work through the Tines Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. You can search and summarize records, and manage cases from a compatible AI client. Build dynamic cases by updating case fields through the Tines API and triggering notifications when comments change.

Spend less time scouring case queues. Keep important details visible with column controls and priority labels. Be confident that your cases and dashboards stay up to date while browsing other windows and download a case block’s files together for a quicker evidence handoff.

Choose your models and maintain your skills

You have more options to balance model capability, speed, and cost. Select the model that best suits your task and budget. Choose from OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra, Sol, and Luna, or Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5.

You can now manage agent skills through the Tines API, so you can automate how you maintain shared instructions. Rename a skill without reconnecting the AI Agent actions that use it, as skills stay attached automatically.

Turn story data into clear messaging

The information your story sends is now easier to format with eight new markdown formulas. Easily format your story data into notes and messages using headings, lists, and more, all without writing the markdown syntax yourself.

For admins

Admins now have a clearer view of AI usage and controls over how long audit data is retained.
