Create a resource 

Via the UI 

To create a resource for your team:

1. Navigate to the tenant menu.

2. Click Resources.

3. Click + New.

4. Fill in the Name to name the resource.

5. Enter the resource value within the Builder/Plan code/File setting.

6. Set up the accessibility for other teams via the Access setting.

7. Click Save resource to create your new resource! 

Via the Tines Stories API 

We also offer a full library of API endpoints to manage Tines Stories features. Utilize our Resource API endpoints to manage resources across your teams.

Resource naming best practices 

Good resource names make your Tines Stories environment more navigable. Follow these naming conventions for clarity:

• Use descriptive names that indicate purpose.

• Include the data type if not obvious.

• Consider prefixing with team or function.

• Be consistent across your organization.

Examples:

• security_team_email_list

• api_config_production

• processed_alert_ids

Resource organization tips 

As your number of resources grows:

• Use consistent naming patterns (like prefixes for different teams).

• Document the purpose of each resource in its description.

• Regularly review and clean up unused resources.

• Consider exporting critical resources as backup.
