Share a record type between teams without transferring ownership.
The owning team keeps control of the schema, limits, TTL, and access.
The receiving team can view the schema, query records, read fields, and use them in their own workflows.
Reports and dashboards
Teams can build their own reports and dashboards from shared record types. Each team manages its own report columns and dashboard views without changing the underlying record type.
Records action
Shared record types are available in the records action for List and Get modes. They're read-only for receiving teams. Create, Update, and Delete stay limited to record types owned by that team.
Cases
Teams can attach records from shared record types to cases. Case-specific record fields stay configurable by the team using the case.
If access is revoked, the record type is removed from pickers and lists for the receiving team, and data access is blocked immediately.
