Today, I’m delighted to welcome Dan Hubbard to Tines as our Strategic Executive Advisor.

Dan will help support our rapid growth as we kickstart what will be our biggest year to date. He will be responsible for helping to drive the business forward and establishing Tines as the no-code automation platform for security teams globally.

Not to put too fine a point on it, Dan is a legend. Tines is almost four years old, and we’re growing faster than ever. We’ll be leveraging Dan’s experience right across the company, from board management and fundraising right through to the product and recruiting. He’ll help with tactical decisions as well as get involved in projects.

Most recently, Dan was CEO of Lacework, having spent a couple of years before that as their Chief Product Officer. Before Lacework, Dan was CTO at OpenDNS, where he helped deliver the world’s largest cloud security network that led to the company’s $635 million acquisition by Cisco. Before OpenDNS, Dan was CTO at Websense, where he led R&D, launched Websense Security Labs, and was instrumental in the company’s success from early days through successful IPO.

We’re building a world-class team that puts a premium on empowering security practitioners with no technical background to automate any manual process regardless of the complexity, use case, or technology stack. I am very excited to work alongside Dan at such a critical moment in our company’s growth and leverage his unique expertise.

I’ll wrap up this post with a few words directly from Dan explaining why this, why Tines, and why now.

Why this?

“Essentially, every company on the planet that is greater than 500 employees (sometimes less) is likely to have greater than 50 SaaS services. Each is programmable in its own right, each containing valuable data, and each being an important part of the company’s modern IT stack. That said, the power of combining several of these technologies unlocks efficiency, business and security efficacy, and intelligence. Simply put, without automation, you will be less efficient as a company, less secure, and increase your technology spend.”

Why Tines?

“The first time I met Eoin and reviewed the co-founder story, I was immediately intrigued with Tines, then I got a demo. The demo not only highlighted the robustness and power of the platform but also showed the simplicity of using it. And I am a big believer in technologies that can achieve significant business and security value in an eloquent user experience. The power of Tines is second to none, and they have done an incredible job of abstracting the complexities of connecting many services and driving valuable output, unlike any service I have seen before.”

Why now?

“Depending on the pain-point or user-story you are driving towards, if you do not use your data and your services to their fullest potential by combining them, you will fall behind the competition, potentially fail compliance, and ultimately be less efficient and secure as a company. This becomes increasingly important as IT becomes more democratized and distributed within companies, attacks become more sophisticated, and it is hard to find programmers to glue all this stuff together.

Customers love it, and I am confident that you will also. So, I highly recommend you give it a try or book a demo to see for yourself.

“Tines is a world-class team, solving mission-critical business and security challenges with a powerful yet easy to use no-code automation platform, and I am excited to be part of the team.”

Welcome aboard, Dan!
