We've shipped a collection of improvements to dashboards and record charts, making them easier to configure, navigate, and read.
Improved descriptions, emojis, and titles
Dashboards now support descriptions and emojis, giving you more context at a glance.
Add a description to any individual chart, displayed on hover.
Record type emojis now appear in the record type selector when configuring a dashboard chart.
Improved chart interactions and drill-downs
The chart configurator was redesigned to be clearer and easier to follow.
Drill-down click targets are now more visually obvious — the cursor changes and data points highlight when holding cmd.
Drilling down into an "other" category now correctly shows the grouped items, rather than searching for the literal word "other."
Shift+click multi-select is now more intuitive on all charts.
Hovering over a legend item now highlights the corresponding data within the chart.
Improved data labels and chart configuration
Pie chart labels now sort by size and reveal a "+N more" overflow list on hover.
"Year" and "seconds" granularities are now automatically sized and incorporated into time series charts based on the contained data.
New chart controls available on record charts — including axis label visibility and renaming — are now also available on case charts.
