Create, update, and delete record actions can now target live or test data directly, independent of your story's change control state.

Previously, these record actions inherited their "data mode" from the story's draft or published state.

Now you can set the data mode yourself, so a record action targets test or live records as needed — or falls back to follow the story's state.

To turn this on, enable Allow live or test data selection for record actions in your tenant's Change control settings:

• When enabled, builders can explicitly set a record action's data mode to target test or live data within a draft story.

• When disabled, the record action falls back to test data in a draft story and live data in a published story.
