STORY_RUN_GUID

Returns the GUID of the currently executing story run.

Every event in a story run shares this GUID, including all the events an explode creates. STORY_RUN_GUID() works well as an implode identifier when you want every event from the run in one group. Be careful using it after an explode, though: the implode can group events from different items together, without any error.

After an explode, pick an identifier that matches what you're collecting. In these examples, explode is the name of the explode action. To collect the exploded items back into one list, use explode.guid as the identifier and explode.size as the size. To rejoin parallel branches for each item, use a key that's unique to the item, like explode.guid & "-" & explode.index, and set the size to the number of branches.

Groups run inside the calling story's run, so the same applies to a group that runs after an explode. Each Send to Story call starts a new story run with its own GUID.
