It’s fall, the leaves are starting to turn, school is back in session, but that also means our bi-annual workflow competition You Did WHAT With Tines?! (YDWWT) is here for the Fall 2025 season!

This competition challenges our community of builders - from customers to partners - to bring forth their most impressive workflows, in the hopes to be recognized among the best of the best. The top prize will take home an exclusive invitation to a Tines Builder Connect event in 2026 that will allow you to meet other like-minded builders.

Submit your workflow between now and October 24th!

Why should you start building?

What we love about YDWWT is what it can do for you! Beyond the impressive prizes, YDWWT offers unparalleled visibility for your work. Past winners have leveraged their recognition to:

  • Establish themselves as thought leaders in the intelligent workflow space

  • Showcase their technical expertise to management and peers

  • Connect with like-minded innovators across industries

  • Inspire the broader Tines community with their solutions

There’s a NEW pathway to victory!

You submission should demonstrate excellence in at least one of these categories:

⭐NEW ⭐ Tech stack synergy

FIND THE CONNECTIONS: If there’s an API, Tines connects with it. Showcase how your tech stack integrates with Tines to tackle real-world problems.

AI-powered workflows

DEMONSTRATE INNOVATION: How are you turning automation and AI into scalable productivity? Bring forward your best example of how your team is leveraging Tines AI capabilities to take your workflows to the next level.

Build interactive apps

SHOWCASE USER EXPERIENCE: Show your approach to building interactive user experiences by connecting pages and actions into self-contained apps.

Tines fundamentals

PROVE TRANSFORMATIVE IMPACT: Let’s get down to the basics of building in Tines - from handling security alerts, to patch management - with Tines you can build anything. Show us your best Tines workflow that anyone can learn from.

Hack your life

DISPLAY CREATIVITY: Automating beyond the confines of your 9-5? Show us any unexpected ways you use Tines to hack your life, in the spirit of fun or convenience.

In addition to the categories, we want to recognize the work you all put in to creating your workflows. That’s why we’re introducing another new category:

⭐NEW ⭐ Best workflow narrative:

WORKFLOWS ARE A JOURNEY: Show us your creative process, why you build the way you do, and perhaps get feedback from your audience as you build. Participants must post their story progress on social media and tag the Tines account (LinkedIn, X) in order to be recognized. Share what you are working on and anything from a screenshot of your story/output to a video walkthrough - we want to see it!

Your checklist to excellence

Stories must be clear and able to run for our testing process. Keep the following in mind when you choose the story you want to submit:

DO

  • Include a story name and full description

  • List any requirements for using the story (i.e. credentials, tools)

  • Submit a story that others can benefit from

DON'T

  • Include any proprietary or personal information

  • Choose a story that’s hard for others to understand or use

All submissions will be vetted and added to our Community Library under the YDWWT tag. This means Tines and other builders have permission to import your pre-built workflow to their tenant and use it as inspiration for their own.

Check out last year’s winning story by Tom Power of the University of British Columbia: EDgaR - the EDR audit and asset discovery utility

This clever CrowdStrike integration stood out with its innovative design, practical security approach, and significant time-saving potential. It solves a real security headache while being adaptable enough for other teams to customize for their needs. EDgaR captures what YDWWT is about – turning a Tines workflow into something powerful and practical your organization can use over and over.

EDgaR - the EDR audit and asset discovery utility

EDgaR - the EDR audit and asset discovery utility

This story assists IT Admins with EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) compliance. With the two webforms, IT admins, who do not have access to the CrowdStrike console, can verify host registration along with the appropriate CrowdStrike tags. In addition, there is a scheduled workflow which queries the CrowdStrike asset discovery API to discover "unmanaged" neighbors, which do not have the Falcon Sensor installed. Tines, along with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, facilitates EDR compliance and asset discovery.
