We’re excited to share that Tines has been named a Leader and Outperformer in GigaOm’s Radar Report for Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR). We were the only vendor to secure scores of 4 (superior) or 5 (exceptional) in all evaluated categories, including key features, emerging technologies, and critical business criteria. Tines also earned Outperformer status based on our high rate of delivery in the last year, high release cadence, and strong roadmap for the upcoming year.

About the Radar report

In the Radar report, Tines was evaluated alongside fifteen other organizations and it’s great to see us in good company for one of the many use cases of our platform. Tines earned many top scores for key and emerging SOAR features including threat enrichment, case management, alert triage, prioritization and curation, event ingestion and filtering, DevSecOps and security as code, and non-security automation.

What this means for SOAR

There’s been a lot of talk around SOAR as a technology category lately. It stemmed from Gartner’s Hype Cycle for ITSM report putting SOAR in the “trough of disillusionment”. Gartner focused on the shortcomings of SOAR-specific technology, not the practice of SOAR as a way of working. In this report, Analyst Andrew Green notes that vendor-agnostic SOAR solutions, like Tines, are “still an immense value-add to organizations and inherently flexible to adapt to market conditions.”

Tines named leader and outperformer

GigaOm analyst Andrew Green reported that “Tines can deliver on a range of security and non-security use cases” and shared that this “positions Tines to be deployed as an all-purpose automation tool rather than just a security-specific tool.”

We completely agree - security teams and their counterparts in IT and other operational roles rely on Tines to build, run, and monitor their most important workflows in real-time. From automating incident response to streamlining employee onboarding and offboarding, our versatile platform empowers all teams across an organization.

By extending Tines to all teams, organizations benefit from:

  • Collaborative case management: Recognized as exceptional by GigaOm, Tines' comprehensive case management extends beyond traditional SOAR solutions. In today's complex enterprise environment, automation spans multiple teams—from DevOps and IT to HROps—each operating in their own specialized systems. Tines bridges this gap, enabling seamless collaboration across diverse teams and platforms. Our case management feature acts as a central hub, unifying workflows, enhancing visibility, and streamlining communication. By breaking down silos and fostering cross-functional cooperation, Tines empowers organizations to respond faster, adapt more efficiently, and achieve superior outcomes in their automation initiatives.

  • Improved manageability: Tines' manageability has been recognized as superior by GigaOm, a testament to our platform's intuitive design and robust functionality. This excellence in manageability becomes even more pronounced when multiple teams across an organization leverage Tines. By providing a common ground for automation, Tines eliminates the need for multiple, siloed tools, significantly reducing complexity and overhead.

  • Records to keep track across workflows: Tines Records has been acknowledged by GigaOm as a solution for long-term storage of threat intelligence indicators and feeds. This powerful feature not only allows for unlimited retention of critical security data but also enables teams across the organization to identify trends across various workflows. Records also excels in normalizing information from multiple sources, providing a unified view of data that enhances decision-making and operational efficiency in all teams.

  • Enrichment: Tines’ threat enrichment capabilities were rated as exceptional by GigaOm. Our enrichment capabilities benefit teams as the organization and can enrich any data regardless of use case. This feature also benefits teams across the entire organization, offering the flexibility to enhance any dataset, regardless of the specific use case. By seamlessly integrating with various data sources and existing tools, Tines transforms raw information into valuable, context-rich insights.
