As Head of Commercial Operations at Tines, Liam Keenan is responsible for developing new strategies to increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction. This includes optimizing operations, devising and executing our go-to-market plan, and working closely with Tines leadership to ensure we're always moving towards our ambitious goals.

Can you tell us a little more about yourself and what you like to do in your free time?

I'm an Ireland native who's spent a few years abroad in Singapore, Japan, and the UK, but I'm very firmly back on Irish soil for the foreseeable future - at least as a base. One of the great things about Tines is that we can work remotely, so I'm heading out to work from Argentina for a while to dodge part of the Irish winter.

In my free time, I balance overdosing on podcasts and streaming with the gym or, more recently, Muay Thai. Despite living in South East Asia for four years, I somehow decided Dublin was the best place to pick that up. I've also just wrapped up a three-year stint on a charity board, so I'm keeping an eye out for my next volunteering opportunity.

What does a typical workday or week look like for you at Tines?

Cliché alert! There really is no typical day. No, I'm joking. I'm a morning person, so I'll try and keep my mornings clear for focused work and the evenings for meetings and collaboration. In terms of the type of work, my role spans everything from strategy to systems and tools, enablement, data and analytics, and compensation. It's incredibly varied, so one minute, I'm elbow-deep in a forecasting spreadsheet; next, I'm talking to a vendor about a new tool; next, discussing pricing and packaging optimization, and so on. It's great! I love it. Incredibly varied and challenging, with just the right amount of stretch.

What's the coolest thing you've worked on to date?

That's a tough one. It was probably last year's planning cycle. I know "planning" isn't usually something that sets most people's hearts racing. Getting to work with such a great team on shaping the plan for the company and then watching it come to fruition is one of the most satisfying things I've ever done professionally, especially when the charts are going up and to the right.

What advice would you give to someone just starting at Tines?

Try to meet your new teammates in-person in one of our offices if you can. Tines offers fully flexible working options, which is fantastic. However, getting into our offices and meeting the team face-to-face is something that always leaves me feeling incredibly energized.

What's your favorite thing about the Tines platform? Any tips for our readers?

The fact that we're no-code automation for security teams, but my non-security team that supports our entire go-to-market organization runs some of our most critical workflows on Tines. It connects our everyday tools like Salesforce, Slack, Looker, Snowflake, Google Sheets, Intercom, and many more in a pretty transformational way. I look back at some of my previous companies and roles and think of what my teams could have achieved if we'd had this "security" tool in our arsenal.
