We’re excited about achieving several key milestones with Amazon Web Services as we head into re:Inforce 2023 next week. These milestones include achieving the AWS Security Competency, partaking in the Amazon Security Lake launch as a subscriber partner, and the introduction of a Tines-Amazon GuardDuty partner solution

To date, the flexibility of our no-code automation sets us apart from other automation partners by automating across any AWS workflow. Now, with these recent accomplishments, we’ve strengthened our position as the security automation partner for AWS customers.

AWS Security Competency

The AWS Security Competency recognizes those partners that have a “deep technical expertise with security in AWS and proven customer success securing the cloud journey with their software”. We are incredibly proud to achieve this accomplishment as it signifies our determination and success in delivering security-focused solutions for specific workloads and use cases.

Charlie Ardagh, head of partnerships for Tines, put it best when he said, “We’re incredibly proud and humbled to achieve AWS Security Competency, as it’s not only a reflection of our team and product but of our customers and what they’ve accomplished using Tines. We look forward to unlocking more opportunities like this in the future.”

Without question, this is a major milestone for us, and it has been a long-term goal of ours since the company was founded. Differentiating us from other cloud automation providers, our keen expertise and knowledge of AWS Cloud Security is clearly recognized.

Amazon Security Lake

As we achieved our Security Competency, we participated in the Amazon Security Lake general availability launch. Amazon Security Lake helps to streamline security investigations by aggregating, normalizing, and optimizing data storage in a single security data lake.  Amazon Security Lake is generally available from May 30th, 2023.

Tines and Amazon GuardDuty partner solution

Part of achieving our competency involved the development of a AWS Partner Solution for Amazon GuardDuty. Our Tines Labs research team spent time with the AWS team to create a solution that assists cloud security engineers in responding to and remediating Amazon GuardDuty alerts, leveraging a Tines story workflow.

The partner solution receives Amazon GuardDuty findings and based on available information and data, takes response actions – such as changing AWS security groups.

John Tuckner, head of Tines Labs, explains, “The quick user adoption of the partner solution has been particularly intriguing. Since its launch in early May, the automation workflow has already been executed thousands of times.”

Amazon GuardDuty is a threat detection service that continuously monitors AWS accounts and workloads for malicious activity and delivers detailed security findings for visibility and remediation. Tines worked closely with AWS Solution Architects to build a joint solution with Amazon GuardDuty as part of their AWS Story library and launched it as AWS Partner Solution. Tines customers can now benefit with automating remediation actions in response to GuardDuty findings.”

Siva Sadhu, Senior Partner Solutions Architect, Technology Partnerships at AWS.

However, this is just the beginning. Our story library is rapidly expanding, now containing more than 30 AWS-focused automation workflows. These extensive workflows expedite a customer's ability to utilize any AWS service or solution to achieve business outcomes. All that is needed after the initial setup is to tailor the solution to your specific business needs and processes.

Finding ways to help organizations grow, improve, and strengthen their cloud security strategy is one of our biggest motivators. We are extremely proud and excited about what achieving these AWS milestones will help our customers accomplish with Tines. We hope you are too.
