Audit and compliance

Workbench includes features that support audit and compliance requirements. Audit logs are available as part of the Security Essentials package (not included in Community Edition tenants).

What's logged

Every action Workbench takes is recorded in your Tines audit logs: tool executions (templates, stories, internal tools), when actions were taken and by whom, what parameters were used, and what results were returned. Workbench activity is logged the same way whether it happened in the web interface or in Slack.

Access and manage audit logs

Audit logs are accessible to tenant admins and users with the AUDIT_LOG_READ permission, via both the Tines UI and API. Logs can also be accessed programmatically via the Tines API, and scheduled exports to Amazon S3 are supported for long-term storage and integration with external security tools. Tines retains audit logs for two years.

For detailed information about audit log format, filtering, and access, see the audit log documentation.
