Can you tell us a little more about yourself and what you like to do outside of work?

I've been lucky enough to work at Tines for nine months, which have flown by quickly! I've got two incredible kids with my fiancée, and we live in Toronto, Ontario, where I've been tackling the startup space for almost ten years. In my free time, I like to heli-ski, travel, and be active with my kids and our two rescue dogs, which are a passion for us.

What drew you to Tines?

I heard about Tines from some mutual friends within security. When I found out they were looking to expand into North America, it seemed like a perfect fit. The product is incredible, and the space and total addressable market have become a hot topic in technology. The caliber of customers in such a short period was eye-opening, and I quickly understood culture is at the top of the company's list. It was an easy decision to pursue becoming a Tino! Startups are some of the most exciting and collaborative environments you will find. You can learn so much about yourself and have a tremendous impact on an organization with any task or effort you put into it. Plus, doesn't everyone love the Irish?!

What have you learned since you started working at Tines?

Our customers are our best sellers. I've gained some good friendships both internally and with our customers in a short period. The world has become so sophisticated with different sales tools, and customers are getting hit from every angle, so you really have to differentiate yourself within sales. Our customer success team, product, execution, and overall support have built huge champions within our customer base, which has attributed to 100% net retention and, frankly, an extension of our sales teams. Lastly, our channel & partner community have been instrumental in supporting our efforts to expand across North America and EMEA. Lacework, AWS, SHI, Optiv, Guidepoint, and our other partners have tremendous excitement around their organizations, yet they continue to leverage Tines in front of their top customers.

What advice would you give to someone just starting at Tines?

This is a fun and special time in our careers, so cherish it and enjoy the journey. We have a great team and an incredible culture where everyone supports each other, so take a breath, do what you do best, and you'll learn a lot about yourself. If you hit a bump in the road, we've got a team of people ready to step up and support you, but the goal is simple. One day, you'll look back and say, 'Wow, that was a memorable time in my career.'

What's your favorite Tines Slack channel, and why?

PipeGen! To continue to see the number of customers, incredible brands, and individuals who take meetings with Tines validate that we are doing something special here. You just don't have that many smart people taking meetings for no reason!
