Key takeaways

Let's review

You've just completed your introduction to Tines administration. Here's what we covered:

  • Tenant owners hold the highest level of authority in a Tines environment, with the ability to manage users, configure security controls, oversee teams, and maintain the overall health of the tenant. Unlike regular users who can only access objects in their assigned teams, tenant owners can view and manage anything across the entire tenant.

  • The Settings interface is your central hub for all administrative tasks, organized into four main categories: Tenant, Configurations, Access & security, and Monitoring.

  • Your first tasks as a tenant owner should focus on orientation and understanding your environment. Review authentication settings, explore your user base and team structure, familiarize yourself with audit logs, check event usage, and start documenting what you learn. These tasks apply whether you're taking over an existing tenant or setting up a new one.

Next up

In the next module, Team component management, you'll learn how to create and configure teams, manage credentials and resources, control sharing and access, and set team limits. This is where you'll start putting your tenant owner knowledge into practice and learn how to organize your Tines environment for effective collaboration.
