AI credits and allocation

Understand the AI credits system

When you use AI features in Tines, they consume credits. Think of credits like a budget for AI usage. Your organization has a pool of credits that gets used as workflows run AI-powered actions.

Credit allocation is handled by your tenant owners, but understanding how credits work helps you build efficient workflows.

AI credits and model usage

Both fast and smart models consume AI credits when they're used. Generally, fast models consume fewer credits per use than smart models because they're optimized for simpler tasks. Your tenant owner allocates AI credits to different teams.

If you notice AI features becoming unavailable or slower than usual, your tenant may be approaching its AI credit limit. In that case, contact your tenant owner.

When AI credits are used

There are two AI features in Tines that consume AI credits:

  • AI Agent action: Uses credits each time the action runs, based on the amount of data processed and the complexity of the task.

  • Workbench: Workbench consumes AI credits for each message sent and each time it calls a tool to perform a task.
