For text matching, filter groups, and examples, see [Searching and filtering](https://www.tines.com/stories/docs/cases/searching-filtering/search-reference). The filter menu groups parameters in the order below. ## How operators are labeled For many parameters, the label follows the number of values you select: - One value uses **is** or **is not**. - Two or more values use **is any of** or **is none of**. - **is all of** stays available on parameters that can match several values on one case, such as tags and assignees. Text operators, such as **contains all** and **contains phrase**, keep the same label however many words you type. Date parameters use **before**, **after**, and a range. ## Case details | Parameter | What it matches | Operators | | --- | --- | --- | | Status | Open, Closed, and the sub-statuses grouped under them | • is • is any of • is not • is none of | | Priority | Info, Low, Medium, High, or Critical | • is • is any of • is not • is none of | | Case ID | The case's public ID, such as 1567 | • is • is any of • is not | | Team | The team that owns the case | • is • is any of • is not • is none of | | Tag | A tag on the case | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is all of | A case has one status and one priority, so those parameters do not offer **is all of**. **is all of** on a tag matches cases that have every tag you select. ## People | Parameter | What it matches | Operators | | --- | --- | --- | | Assignee | A person assigned to the case | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is all of • is empty • is not empty | | Author | The person who created the case | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is empty • is not empty | | Subscriber | A person subscribed to the case | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is all of | People pickers include **Current user**. **Author** also includes **Automation**, for a case with no identifiable user author. **Assignee** **is empty** means the case is unassigned. ## Dates **Created**, **Updated**, **Opened**, and **Resolved** use these operators: - **before** - **after** - a range, including the presets **Today**, **Yesterday**, **7 days**, **31 days**, and **365 days** - **is empty** - **is not empty** Date filters use the team's working timezone. ## SLAs | Parameter | Values | Operators | | --- | --- | --- | | SLA status | Warning, Exceeded | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is all of | | SLA type | Completion, Response | • is • is any of • is not • is none of • is all of | **SLA status** and **SLA type** are separate filters. Add both when the case must match a type and a status. ## Content | Parameter | What it matches | Operators | | --- | --- | --- | | Search | The same places as the search bar: case name, description, comments, notes, field values, metadata values, and a numeric case ID | • contains all • does not contain all • contains phrase • does not contain phrase | | Name | The case title. contains, starts with, and ends with match part of the title, including the middle of a word. contains all and contains phrase match whole words. | • contains • does not contain • contains all • does not contain all • contains phrase • does not contain phrase • starts with • ends with | | Description | The case description | • contains all • does not contain all • contains phrase • does not contain phrase | | Field | An exact value on one case field. A date field uses the date operators above. | • is • is not • is any of • is empty • is not empty | | Metadata | An exact value for one metadata key. Matching is case-insensitive. | • is • is empty • is not empty | | Record | An exact value on any field of a linked record. Matching is case-insensitive. | • is | **Field** and **Metadata** each take one key. Add another filter to match a second field or metadata key. **is not empty** on a field or metadata key matches cases where that key has a value. **is empty** matches cases where it does not. The record filter checks every field on records linked to the case. The stored value must equal what you type, so `Tines` matches "Tines" and `login` does not match "login failed." The filter takes one value. To match either of two values, put two record filters in an **OR** group. A record filter that matches more than 10,000 cases is rejected. Use a more specific value. ### Comment, note, and task These parameters open properties.
