Five questions with Kevin Menezes, Head Of Account Management at Tines

As the Head of Account Management at Tines, Kevin Menezes works closely with our customers to identify their needs and support their automation development, building strong relationships internally in the process. Kevin’s role includes exploring new feature requests made by customers with our engineering team, communicating relevant product updates, and collaborating with our automation architects to help customers successfully build out new Stories in Tines. Here, Kevin shares more about his career path, working directly with our customers, and what inspires him.

Can you tell us a little more about yourself?‍

“I came to Tines from TruSTAR Technology, where I ran day-to-day Customer Success operations. I have been with Tines for almost a year and moved to Phoenix, Arizona from California two years ago.”

What do you do at Tines?‍

“In my current role, I oversee the day-to-day Account Management duties. The role includes ensuring our customers all have standard processes like onboarding, regular maintenance calls, and understand new cases to expand their usage of Tines. Our team also helps triage support requests, understand new feature requests, and plan the next set of priorities for the client, such as building out a phishing or EDR story.”

What’s the coolest thing you’ve worked on at Tines to date?‍

“Our team is working on a couple of cool projects, but I think the most impactful one is standardizing processes around how we understand customers’ needs for a particular story. This project involves building forms in Notion to ensure we outline all of the customers’ requirements and show them a diagram on the storyboard of an automation story. From there, we can begin to learn more about the customers’ needs and take that information to the automation engineering team.”

Who or what has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

“The team in general and the platform motivate me to come to work. We consistently receive notes from our customers about how we go above and beyond when it comes to supporting them and how easy it is to use the platform after onboarding. The Tines platform is unlike anything I’ve ever seen - it works out of the box, and we can make a lot of progress in a short amount of time without any pro services. All of this allows me to focus on growing usage in our customer base.”

What do you like to do outside of work?

“I like to play golf, barbecue, and enjoy going out to dinner when I have free time. My newest hobby is learning how to build things around the house and keeping the backyard green (grass, trees, plants, and a couple of cactus). This year, I would like to spend more time in the great outdoors exploring Northern Arizona and some cooler climates!”
